Single Touch Payroll

Could you tell me if the Upgrade 2018.2 has Single Touch Payroll intergrated and ready to roll.

Hi 

 

That is correct, 2018.2 has the pre-requisites to begin using STP for the new Financial Year.

 

When the service is ready to be enabled, we will turn on the connection to allow you to connect to the ATO through the software in the Payroll Reporting button.

Hi 

 

Sorry to hear about the issues you are facing. You can download v19 from here: https://www.myob.com/au/support/downloads

 

Try Plus v19.12 first, if this won't open the file try v19.13. If the files have a v19 serial number (which they will if the accountant has been using the file in v19) the files will open in read/write mode, otherwise they will open as read-only, which sounds like all you need.

Hi Gavin,

I am taken to a page to Upgrade with agreement to pay $67 a month for a minimum of 12  months. Am I in the right location?  I can't see any option to download any file without committing to a full upgrade.

Sorry Gavin, I was in the wrong window.  I can now see where to download however since I only have V18 on my computer, it wont allow me to update to V19.   So to clarify, I have V18, my ex accountant prepared the files I need to read in his office using V19 which I cannot open.  I am trying to avoid having to pay my new accountant to open the files as that not only could cost more than the subscription, the files could only be able to be read by my new  accountant.  I can't afford to pay my new accountant to read the files from my ex accountant (who I am suing for fraud) as he won't know where to find the fraudulent transactions.  Is there a way for me to just be able to read something created on V19 when I only have V18?

Hi 

 

You simply need to download and install v19 on your computer. If the install fails saying you already have this installed, then you need to find it, suggest you look at c:\plus19 or similar.

 

You can have both v18 and v19 installed on the same computer. And yes you need v19 installed to open the v19 files created or updated by accoutannt. When working with your own files, use v18 as usual.

 

There is no need to buy or pay for anything.

MYOB not opening on the second computor.

Hi,

 

The main computor was just upgraded, and second computor got upgraded, but now won't work.  The first computor works fine though. Not sure how to get it working.

Hi 

 

For this error: "The file you have chosen is not an AccountRight Standard company file", this error tends to occur when it is attempting to open a file and it is not the same database format as what it was expecting.

 

The general troubleshooting steps we follow would be to ensure the file we are trying to restore is coming from the same version of MYOB from the old computer. This is done by going onto the old computer if possible and trying to take a new backup and place the backup on the Desktop then move it to the new computer and place it on the Desktop of the new computer.

 

Then we attempt to restore it with Step 3 of this support note: Moving AccountRight v19 to a new computer

 

Failing this, would it be possible to see any screenshots of the steps you are taking so that we have a visual of the steps being undertaken? Perhaps we might find answers this way.

Im unable to confirm my company file online

Tried all suggestions regarding Anti Virus software in the help funtion but still no luck

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a great resource

 

There are a number of reasons that a file isn’t able to confirm online. So that we can look into this are you able to confirm the following information for us?

 

The company file ID number of the affected file, (found under help >> About AccountRight)

 

The product level showing under Help >> About AccountRight (Such as Premier, Plus etc)

 

Tip – please avoid posting confidential information such as your serial number or client ID number, as it is a public Forum and that information could be viewed by anyone browsing

 

Once we have this information then we can look into why that file is not confirming as it should

Backup not working for files saved and accessed locally

I have a number of files. one online and others offline. The backup has stopped working for the offline ones. I get "Errors were found during the backup process".

Have been using MYOB for many years. Checked firewalls etc.

Can you help please. Do I need to re-install MYOB Account Right (latest version)?

Hi 

 

Thanks for confirming that information for me. I’ve made a very slight change to your account which should allow you to confirm the file by going to Help >> Confirm Company File. As a tip, if the confirmation fails online, I recommend giving it a little bit of time before trying to confirm the file again. This is because too many confirmation requests in too short a time can lock the file and require you to contact our team to unlock the file

We want a whole new business setup in MYOB Live. We DO NOT want to convert our current information over from AccountRight.

If you were wanting to start a new business on a new serial number, then you would be looking at the costs outlined on our MYOB AccountRight page. Please note that for both AccountRight Standard and AccountRight Plus, these costs are for a single file, whilst AccountRight Premier gives you two files.

 

These subscriptions would also give you the option of the live services, like storing the file online and getting bank feeds on your file, for one file per subscription.

Migration Issues

I'm currently migrating an installation of AR 2017.1 SE to a new server. Upon attempting to open a .myox file into the new Network Library I am promoted with the following error:

 

The connection to the server was lost. Please check the server is on and conencted to the network.

 

Which of course it is! I thought the MYOB Discovery services on the old server might be interfering so I disabled them and still receive the same error.

 

I installed 2017.1 SE onto my Windows 10 PC as a test and it worked perfectly and imported the databse without any issues.

 

The destination server i'm trying to migrate to is a Server 2016 Essentials installation.

 

Please assist.

I too have the same problem where reports cannot export to Excel although export to CSV is OK. 

I have copied all the templates to the correct folder. 

When run as Administrator AR 2018 thinks about it then does nothing (i.e. circle goes around).  When run as a user I can see the template flash up in the Excel window but then it disappears.

I am using AR 2018.2 and MS Office Standard Excel 2013

Please advise how to fix this.
