I haven't used the MYOB forum before so I hope I'm posting this in the right place?
I upgraded MYOB to 2016.1 last week. I went to open my MYOB company file in 2016.1 and it prompted me to upgrade the file before using it, that's fine, that's what normally happens. However it's now about 48 hours later and the file is still upgrading, and I cannot access it at all. (Not sure if it matters, but the file is hosted in the cloud). It's not a huge file, and normally upgrading only takes an hour or so.
Here is what happens:
I try to open company file in 2016.1.
Error message comes up: "Upgrade or open? You've selected a 2015.4 company file. Do you want to upgrade the file and open in AccountRight 2016.1?"
If I choose "Yes, upgrade to 2016.1", another message comes up: "Upgrade is in progress. This company file is currently being upgraded. You can sign on once the upgrade is complete."
If I choose "No, open it in 2015.4", 2016.1 closes and 2015.4 is loaded, and this message appears: "Connection error. We're sorry, but something has interrupted AccountRight and you'll need to restart." I can then click "Try again" and it gives me the same "Upgrade is in progress" message as above ^
I called MYOB support centre yesterday but I don't think my situation was fully understood. They directed me to the HotFix tool but I can't use this because my company file is in the cloud? And I don't think it's an issue with the Microsoft update, to me it seems my file has just got "stuck" in cyberspace while trying to upgrade ???

I have used My Myob but only got the Installation that said "Uninstall"
I was using a normal PC version in the cloud and dont understand your request about the MSI version or the server version
Tryiing to migrate to live and my serial number is obviously from my bookeeper, so I went to change and I got my serial number off my online account, and I am being told this is incorrect also??

After upgrade to AccountRight 2016.1 SE, MYOB was RUNNING EXTREME SLOW. Coud you fix them???????
I have account right 2015.4,1 SE
all of a sudden on all my pc's (mix of win 8 / 10 ) I am getting an error when trying to open my company file that says:
Account rights has encountered an error and needs to close.
this error is just after loggin in to the file
It is not the PC / file as on all previous backups I get this error and on the PC I can create new companies fine and work with them.
I donloaded a trial version (2016.1) and can upgrade and open my current file correctly in read only.
any ideas on how to fix this?

There have been many posts about this issue of late, and MYOB have got a post that goes through the steps on how to resolve this.
It seems there was a Microsoft Windows update that changed a security format in .NET framework, this security format changed have affected several programs, including MYOB AccountRight. There are 2 ways this can be resolved. The steps on how to resolve it are in the link below:

Thanks Matthew but I do have a default printer set. Already tried resetting it and restarting etc to no avail. I've also checked that the drivers etc are up to date.
I see that others have mentioned version 19.5.2 that might fix the problem? If so where would I find that? I've tried checking for updates but there's none shoiwing. Everything was going fine till I updated to 19.5.1. Wish i hadn't now.

Just to confirm, have you upgraded to the latest version of MYOB AccountRight 2016.1? If so, I am guessing you are using the new in-built emailing function to send out emails.
The new emailing function allows you to email using the 'web based invoice' as well as both the web based and 'PDF format.' Meaning this will give the recipient of the email two options to open the invoice viewed online or downloaded as a PDF attachment.
You will need to go into your Setup > Preferences > Emailing Tab (Last tab).
Ensure that 'When Emailing Invoices' is selected as the second option 'Include a link to the online invoice and PDF attachment.'

I have just updated to Windows 10 and now when I go into Account Right it tells that Account Right has encountred an error and needs to exit. Does anyone know how to get around this/what to do?

I noticed you mentioned that you've 'updated the right file', I'm wondering did you update the company file to a higher version than v2013.1? You can check that by selecting 'Confirm later' when prompted to confirm the company file, and open it in Read Only, then please go to Help > About, what is the version number showing?
If the file was upgraded to a version higher than it is entitled to, then I'm afraid you won't be able to confirm the company file. You'll need to run the fix tool on the original version of company file, then continue using it with the original version you have.
Since you are still using v2013.1 which is a rather old version, and the fix tool is best run for v2014.2 or higher, we can offer you a free upgrade to v2014.2 instead. I've sent you a private message with the download link attached.

If you are having the same issue, please do also open the file in Read Only, then go to Help > About to check the product version number. AccountRight v2016.1.1 was released to fix the recent Microsoft security update issue, however it does require an active subscription to use the latest version.
Therefore, if the company file was upgraded to a higher version than the serial number is entitled to, you'll need to run the fix tool on the original version of company file, then use it in the original version of software.
